HOMEWORK PAGESFirst graders are still so young. This is a very important time in their lives to grow and develop outside of school. To allow students to enjoy their time when they get home, homework is given on Fridays and can be turned in the following Friday.
The homework assignment involves practicing spelling words, sight words, nightly reading log, proofreading and a grammar section. This will only take 5-10 minutes each night to complete. If you wish to download or view the homework pages, you may click the homework image below.

READINGReading is a huge accomplishment for any child. To foster a love for reading, I encourage everyone to take the time each night to read for 20 minutes with your child. Research has proven that reading for 20 minutes nightly increases vocabulary and likelihood to do well on standardized tests.
